My goal is make artwork that uplifts and points others to the lighter side of life. I can’t help but bring that energy and personality to my drawings. I believe inspiration is everywhere — whether it is from historical, mid-century, or folk-art-inspired backgrounds — and I work to combine the bright colors, dynamic shapes, and lively line work to make people smile. I hope when people see my work, they are reminded that life is never as bad as it seems and that things will always get better.
In 2023, I graduated with my MFA in Illustration from the University of Hartford. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a BFA in Illustration in 2013 . The word “illustrate” literally means to “light up or illuminate”. I can think of nothing higher to aspire to.
